yes. (standing) i am a GEEK. i am proud of my Geekery. its something that most of my friends tolerate accept. i play video games. i am on messageboards. i had my computer built and know a lot of the computer-y words that were used in building said computer. the word "MOBO" makes me giggle. (it's short for MOtherBOard)
and i play World of Warcraft. there. i said it. i have played this game almost since it launched in '05. and i have made friends through this game and through the messageboard to which i belong that was inspired by the realm we all play on. (SHUT UP)
so, one of the friends i made from the board decided to come down from Missouri and hang out with me. and since we share a love of scotch, he sent a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue to me to protect until he got here. (it's KILLING me to NOT open it) and i was telling another friend, who lives in Dublin, TX, that he was coming and he said that HE would come down too! from there it ESSPLODED! one told another who told another... and now, NOW we have people flying in from Missouri, Florida and California. yeah. it's become a big deal. so instead of meeting ONE friend... i now get to meet 10! i'm so excited!
J and i are gonna drink scotch on Friday, and then the Geeks shall take over 6th Street on Saturday. you might wanna stay home. you'll blind yourself on the glare from our pasty white gamer skin.

At any rate, yes...pasty gamer flesh. I live in missouri, where we try to stay inside because it's either too cold, or too damn hot.
That and the sun is trying to kill me.
i happen to know several people who met on a messageboard and traveled many miles to get to meet live and in person and now they have matching tattoos. i'm just saying that this'll probably be fantastic and you'll have tons of fun. just probably not as fantastic and fun as those matching tattoo people.
